This year marked continued momentum for UVic Engineering and Computer Science. With growing enrolment, new professional programs, expanded facilities, and strengthened partnerships, ECS remains grounded in its mission: advancing knowledge that serves people, communities, and the planet. We are building a culture defined by equity, stewardship, and real-world impact.

We are committed to advancing clean energy and climate resilience, strengthening Indigenous engagement and supporting Engineers Canada’s 30×30 initiative in order to build pathways where diverse learners thrive and innovation reflects responsibility, respect, and long-term impact.

Educational Excellence

Our seven undergraduate programs, research-based graduate degrees, professional MEng specializations, and Canada’s first Doctor of Engineering offer depth and breadth in engineering and computer science. Mandatory co-op and hands-on learning ensure graduates leave not only technically strong, but career-ready and industry-connected.
